Why Buy Custom Made ?

Quality:

The quality of custom made furniture generally surpasses the quality of commercially available pieces.  Since each piece is individually crafted, more effort goes into the selection of each piece of wood as opposed to pulling parts from a stack of identically machined parts.  Because the cost of materials is a smaller percentage of the overall cost than for commercially made furniture, there is little to be gained by cutting corners on materials.  At Little Like Me, only premium quality lumber, veneered sheet stock, and hardwoods are used.   More attention is paid to joinery methods and the fit of one piece of wood to another.  The result is a more solidly built piece of furniture than that which is commercially made; one which will live up to the name heirloom, lasting for generations.

Individuality:

Custom made furniture is just that; CUSTOM MADE.  Each piece is tailored, or built to meet your requirements.  Even 'standard' designs are made unique in that the type of wood and / or the color of the stain used are selected by YOU. 

Sometimes it is the desire to own something unique, something that you know is not available anywhere else.  Or it may be that there is no commercially available piece that quite meets your needs.  Whatever the case may be, a custom made piece of furniture or cabinetry is designed to meet your requirements exactly.
